Give us your elevator pitch of who you are, what you do and what your skill set is.
I’m a kind, understanding human being with a curiosity for food and adventure. I love to travel and create and collaborate. I am a versatile dancer trained in various styles such as JFH, Musical Theatre, Tap, Acrobatics. For the last 6 years I’ve been performing in various strut’n’fret shows and expanding my skill set through learning to play instruments and training in aerial skills.
What is your ideal role?
My ideal role would be to play Black Panther in a Marvel movie 🙂
Name your top 5 credits.
1. So You Think You Can Dance, Top 18
3. West Side Story
4. Life, The Show
5. King Kong (the movie)
Where do you find your inspiration?
I find inspiration from images, art galleries and street art. I don’t limit my thoughts. I find inspiration from the smallest details of everyday life. I let inspiration come to me. I think outside of the box and often find myself day dreaming. I also find inspiration from relationships; my girl (Penelope). She is an artist and we have started to train straps together. I try to never stop learning new skills or experimenting with other people, bouncing around ideas in conversations.
What motivates you to keep performing/creating?
Meeting other creatives with different skill sets who are not afraid to teach you their craft and vice versa. For example, today a fellow cast member and I decided to have a jam. We came up with a tap/bass/flute number that we’re gonna now work on further and hopefully create an act. I also find motivation from my peers, one, a contortionist still performing at the age of 40+. I know people stop performing around the age of 30. I believe if you are smart about your health and body maintenance, stay consistent, driven and passionate and curious, you should never stop performing or creating.
What should TheatreArtLife readers know about you?
I’m a deep thinker. I’m curious about all sorts of things and I love obtaining new skills.
